―――
The International Hindi Association (IHA) is holding its 21st biennial
convention this year from Fri July 28th
- Sun, July 30th, 2023, in Indiana,
USA. The Purpose of the convention is to bring together individuals of all
walks of life who love Hindi language, in order to discuss Hindi language
related topics, share ideas on promoting and using Hindi as a second
language outside India, and build relationships within our community. The
attendees include youth, educators, poets, writers, IHA members, city and
state leaders along with other distinguished personalities (including from
India).
The convention offers networking, education, social outreach, and
entertainment opportunities for attendees. Each convention is hosted by one
of the IHA’s chapters. This year the Indiana IHA Chapter has taken the lead
in organizing it in Carmel, Indiana, under the leadership of Dr. Rakesh
Kumar. The Convention theme for this year is “Hindi Education for the Next
Generation.”
There will be a cultural program organized by local IHA members and artists
on the evening of Friday, July 28th, 2023. As always, the Convention will end
with its most popular event, a grand Kavi Sammelan, in which renowned
poets, including lyricists and satirists from India will enthrall the audience
with their performances.
